Today I went back to the community garden. With the help of my apprentice, teenage gardener number two, I was able to finish weeding both garden beds. I was also able to loosen the soil, transplant beet and carrot seedlings with minimal casualties, and plant more carrots and leaf lettuce.
My apprentice, and dear friend, actually didn't have a trowel. So today she brought a large spoon which was surprisingly effective. We also had to add more soil to plot number 52 because the weeds took a lot of dirt with them. Everything we planted is in plot 52. The lines in the dirt that go straight across are where we plan to plant dill later.
